Features:
Inner Sheath:
Cables having two or more cores are provided with a common inner sheath applied either by PVC extrusion or by with PVC tape.
Armouring:
Where the calculated diameter of inner sheath does not exceed 13.00 mm, the armour is of round galvanised steel wires and for calculated diameter of inner sheath above 13.00 mm, flat galvanised steel wire are used.
Outer Sheath:
The outer sheath is of PVC conforming to the requirement of ST1 compound of IS: 5831 (1984). The colour of outer sheath is generally black or grey.
Core Identification:
For Power cables and Control cables upto 4 cores, the cores are identified by different colours as per IS : 1554: Where the number of cores exceeds 5, two adjacent cores are blue for reference and yellow for direction in each layer. The remaining cores in each layer are grey. On specific request we can also provide core numbering.
